As part of my interior design internship working for UW-Madison's Capital Planning and Development, I was contacted to do a separate project with the Wisconsin Union at one of their restaurants named Ginger Root, located in the Union South building on campus. When the restaurant was first constructed within the Union South building, there was a lack of budget to finish the design concept. As a result, the restaurant looked barren and in need of a more complete design. My job as the lead interior designer for this project was to complete the design of the Ginger Root to make the restaurant more lively and welcoming.
